OUR SERVICES
We use EMDR, CBT, DBT and IFS to treat trauma and anxiety.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a specialized therapy primarily used to treat trauma and PTSD. As an EMDRIA™ trained EMDR therapist, Menachem helps clients process distressing memories and reduce their emotional charge. He facilitates this process by guiding clients through specific eye movements or bilateral stimulation while they recall traumatic events, leading to desensitization and healing. This approach can help clients reframe their experiences and develop a more positive self-image.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a structured, short-term therapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. As a therapist, Menachem guide clients in recognizing cognitive distortions and developing healthier thinking patterns, ultimately leading to improved emotional regulation and coping skills.
As a therapist utilizing ABA and behavioral therapy, I focus on understanding and modifying behaviors to improve clients' quality of life. I conduct comprehensive assessments to identify specific behaviors and their triggers, allowing me to design individualized intervention plans. Through positive reinforcement and skill development, I help clients learn new, adaptive behaviors while reducing challenging ones. My goal is to empower clients and their families with effective strategies that promote independence and enhance social functioning.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is a therapeutic model that views the mind as made up of different "parts," each with its own beliefs and emotions. It helps clients understand and integrate these parts to achieve inner harmony. In his work with clients, menachem assists clients in exploring their internal dynamics, addressing conflicts between parts, and fostering self-compassion, leading to greater self-awareness and emotional well-being.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals with intense emotions and interpersonal difficulties, often associated with borderline personality disorder and emotional dysregulation. It combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices. In our sessions, Menachem teaches clients skills in four key areas: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, empowering them to manage their emotions and enhance relationships.
